I’m laying 14mm thick click install engineered board in my kitchen, it’s not 100% waterproof but can withstand spills. Can I lay this underneath it? If so, should I avoid laying it under the area near the kitchen sink? Or put matting above the flooring near the sink to protect it, and the foil underneath?

The foil system can go into a kitchen , but it CANNOT go underneath any fixed furniture and most avoid fixed furniture and maintain a 50mm gap from walls and fixed furniture.
