The instructions say press down and pull towards you but I cant get it to budge and I dont want to break it before I start.

I have tried prising the front panel off as we discussed and all I have managed to do is damage the rubber sealing between the front and the back section. I tried using a flat blade knife and also a flat bladed screw driver but no good. If I put any more pressure on it I am worried that I may break either the rear plate of the front section. Can you help please.
